Season 7 will be the last season for Battlefield 2042, but support for the game will not cease
General Manager of the Battlefield franchise Byron Beede announced the news, which can both upset and delight fans of the shooter series.
Here's What We Know
The manager said that the seventh season, which started in Battlefield 2042 in March, will be the last.
The developers will continue to support the game, add new content, hold events and improve its technical condition, but all this will be done outside of the seasons.
Byron Bede noted that Battlefield 2042 was originally planned to have only four seasonal updates, but public interest in the game prompted the developers to continue the support plan to seven seasons.
As for the future of Battlefield, Bid said that all the mistakes and lessons learnt from the failed Battlefield 2042 release have been taken into account and they will try not to repeat them in the future. For the development of the next part of the shooter formed a coalition of several studios: EA Motive, Criterion, DICE and Ripple Effect.
