Redmi Turbo 3: new gesture control features and AI editor
Redmi is gearing up for the launch of its new Turbo 3 smartphone in China tomorrow. Apart from the already confirmed specs of the device, two interesting software features have been revealed.
Here's What We Know
For the first time, a gesture control feature will be available for Redmi phones that will allow users to control their devices without touching the screen. This innovative feature promises to make using a smartphone more convenient from a distance, such as when shooting a video blog or group photo/video.
The second interesting feature is AI Magic Elimination Pro, an AI-based photo editing tool that automatically removes unwanted elements from images. It works pretty much the same way as Magic Eraser in Google Pixel smartphones, and thanks to the use of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, these edits are faster and more accurate.
As for the Turbo 3's specs, they include a 6.67-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 will be paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB inbuilt storage. The phone will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. On the rear, the smartphone may feature a triple camera setup with a 50 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2 MP macro lens.
