The next total solar eclipse will take place on 12 August 2026.
Here's What We Know
Those who dream of seeing a total eclipse will have the opportunity to go to certain places in Greenland, Iceland, Portugal, and Spain. And if you are already planning a trip to these regions, you should plan it for August 2026.
On 2 August 2027, another total solar eclipse will take place in Egypt, which will pass directly over the site of the great pyramids and will last more than six minutes.
And for those who don't want to wait, a total lunar eclipse is expected in 2025 and will cover the lower 48 states, including Hawaii and Alaska. This is an opportunity to see this extraordinary phenomenon without having to travel to other countries.
