Instagram has made Notes more visible: Status updates now available on user profiles
Instagram is rolling out a new update that makes Notes more visible on users' profiles. Until now, users could only see notes from the inbox.
Here's What We Know
The change is intended to increase the feature's visibility and give consumers a new place to interact with their friends' updates. Instagram is also experimenting with "prompts" for notes, which will allow users to share questions for their friends to answer in their updates, similar to the shared "add your own" templates for stories.
Notes are similar to Stories in that updates are only saved for 24 hours and are only visible to shared followers.
This update is another move by Meta to encourage users to post more to smaller, more handpicked groups of friends.
In addition, Instagram has added a new feature called "cutouts", which allows users to create stickers from objects in their photos, similar to the sticker feature in iOS. Cutouts can be shared in Stories or Reels. Cutouts can also be made from other users' posts.
