Huawei launches MateBook X Pro 2024: 120Hz OLED display, Core Ultra 9 processor and weighs just 980 grams

Huawei has announced the new MateBook X Pro 2024 ultrabook in China. The device got an OLED display, a top-end Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and a very light weight.

The new ultrabook from Huawei weighs just 980 grams, which is 30 per cent lighter than the previous model, and it is only 13.5mm thick when folded. The new MateBook X Pro features Intel's new Ultra 9 (185H) chip, which is 60 per cent faster than the Core i7 (1360P) in the previous model. The top-end configuration includes the Intel Ultra 9 (185H), while the more affordable model has an Intel Ultra 7 (155H) chip, which is also quite powerful.

Models are available with 16GB and 32GB of RAM, and storage varies from 1TB to 2TB, depending on the model. The laptop sports a 14.2-inch display with a resolution of 3120 x 2080, supporting up to 10-finger touch input. It's a 120Hz OLED display and its brightness reaches 1000 nits, which is outstanding for a laptop.

The MateBook X Pro 2024 also supports 140W charging. The charging is done through the USB-C port. The laptop also has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. It also features four microphones and six speakers.

The Huawei MateBook X Pro 2024 is available in Inkstone Black, White and Clear Blue Snow colours. Its price starts at 11,000 yuan ($1,520) and goes up to 15,000 yuan ($2,073) for the top-end model. It is expected that the device is likely to arrive in more markets in the near future.
