Microsoft has announced the launch of adverts in the Start menu for Windows 11 users. This update is being rolled out in the latest Insider builds, where users will see ads appear next to their latest apps.
Here's What We Know
Ads hidden under "recommendations" will appear under the heading "Recommended" alongside other recently used or installed apps. These guidelines will include apps from the Microsoft Store, which effectively places them as ads.
In its announcement, Microsoft noted that this update is being tested among insiders and that it can be turned off in the settings. For now, this feature is only available to a limited number of users in the beta channel.
