"Interstellar to be shown in cinemas again
Almost ten years have passed since the release of Christopher Nolan's sci-fi odyssey Interstellar on the big screen, and to mark this event, Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. have decided to bring the film back to cinemas.
Here's What We Know
The announcement was made at CinemaCon. "Interstellar" will be released again on 27 September 2024 in IMAX 70 mm and digital format.
The film stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain. Interstellar was first shown in the US in autumn 2014.
For Nolan himself, this film is special. It tells the story of the Earth of the near future, which is becoming uninhabitable due to an invincible disease that has destroyed almost all types of vegetation.
A group of astronauts venture into space in search of a new home, using a wormhole to travel to galaxies beyond our own, leading to fantastic discoveries in space and time.
The film was critically acclaimed and earned an estimated $731 million worldwide.
