Timothée Chalamet and Godzilla make miracles happen: Warner Bros. films earn $1 billion at the international box office in record time
Warner Bros. is doing so well with its films that the studio has even set a record for itself. In 2024, its films grossed $1 billion outside the US in just 15 weeks, which was the fastest WB could boast of before.
Here's What We Know
Dune had the biggest impact on the result: Part 2, which brought in 412 million at the international box office, and Godzilla vs. Kong, which brought in 279 million. Other contributors were Wonka (164 million) and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (130 million). The latter two were released back in December, but their run continued into January 2024, which helped them reach the one billion mark faster.
And considering that Warner Bros. will release Mad Max: Furious and the Joker sequel, the company can once again, if not repeat, then come very close to the billion mark.
