Twitch launches TikTok-style feed for all users
After extensive testing for almost a year, Twitch has announced that their new TikTok-like feature will be available to all users this month.
Here's What We Know
During the Patch Notes livestream, Twitch introduced a new feature that allows you to view separate feeds dedicated to clips and current live streams.
The new discovery feed will be launched as a tab in the Twitch mobile app. Next month, some users may see it as the homepage of their mobile app.
Twitch says that all live streams and clips can appear in their discovery feed as long as they meet the content requirements.
By scrolling through the live stream, users will be able to view live content from creators they are interested in, as well as recommended streams from Twitch. If an account holder finds something they like, they can tap on the creator's avatar to switch to theatre mode and interact with the live stream.
The clip stream allows you to watch a feed filled with short videos taken from Twitch live streams. Twitch will show when the creator is live so that consumers can tune in to watch. However, advertising will be present.
