Apple has announced the launch of AirPlay in hotel rooms, which is now available for iPhone users.

Here's What We Know

Guests staying at more than 60 IHG Hotels & Resorts properties, including Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Hotel Indigo, Candlewood Suites and InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, can now take advantage of this cutting-edge technology. AirPlay allows them to securely stream content from their iPhone or iPad devices to the hotel TV.

One of the key aspects of this news is ensuring user privacy. Unique QR codes ensure that content shared by a guest remains private and inaccessible to others. In addition, the connection to the TV is automatically deleted upon check-out, ensuring privacy for future guests.

How To Switch It On

To take advantage of this new feature, guests need an iPhone Xs or later with iOS 17.3 or later, or a compatible iPad running iPadOS 17.3 or later.
