The upcoming "Transformers One" has received its first trailer, a new poster and the official synopsis for the highly anticipated return to Cybertron.
Here's What We've Seen
The animated film, directed by Josh Cooley, is a prequel to the acclaimed franchise and tells the story of events that took place before the war that destroyed Cybertron.
In the fresh trailer, we are shown Orion Pax and D-16, who will transform into Optimus Prime and Megatron in the future, but right now they can't transform yet. We see their journey from friendship to eternal enmity, and are introduced to other characters including Elita-1 and an early prototype of Bumblebee.
In addition to the intriguing origin story of the iconic characters, the film has an impressive cast including Chris Hemsworth as Orion Pax and Brian Tyree Henry as D-16. Scarlett Johansson voices Elita-1 and Keegan-Michael Key voices young Bumblebee, Laurence Fishburne voices Alpha Trion and Jon Hamm voices Centinil Prime.

The official synopsis for the animated film, which seeks to delve into the past of Optimus Prime and Megatron, is: "The untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but once were friends bonded like brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever.".

It is scheduled to premiere on 13 September 2024.
