'The Witcher' universe update: The series has been renewed by Netflix for a fifth season, but it will be its last
There are two pieces of news: good and bad. The good news is that we will see another season of Geralt's battles. The bad news is that one of the battles will be the last.
Here's What We Know
Netflix has officially confirmed that fantasy series "The Witcher" will get a fifth season, which will be the final season.
The streaming service posted the post on its X page:
"It’s official, The Witcher season 4 is in production. But that’s not all, we’re already planning season 5, which will be the final season and bring this epic show to a fitting conclusion. See you on The Continent"
As a reminder, in the fourth season, the role of the main character Geralt went from Henry Cavill to Liam Hemsworth. In addition, Laurence Fishburne will join the cast in the upcoming season to play Regis, one of the fan favourite characters from the books and games in "The Witcher" universe.
Series Overview
In the new season, events continue after the significant changes on the Continent that occurred in the Season 3 finale. Geralt, Jennyfer and Ciri will be forced to travel through the war-torn Continent, full of various dangers and demons. If they manage to interact and lead the groups they find themselves in, they will have a chance to survive the hardships and unite again.
