Google Chat supports integration with Slack and Teams: New features for Google Workspace users

Google has announced a new feature that allows Google Chat users to chat with colleagues using Slack and Teams. This update opens up new possibilities for Google Workspace users.

This feature was officially introduced at the Google Cloud Next conference in 2023 and is now available to all Google Workspace users. However, in order to use this feature, users also need to have a Mio licence that allows cross-platform connectivity.

The innovation is based on integration with Mio, a company that specialises in developing solutions to ensure compatibility between different messaging services.

In addition, Google also announced the expansion of Google Chat space limits, allowing up to 500,000 participants to join discussions.

This integration will be implemented in the coming weeks.
