Apple Vision Pro helps doctors in Brazil: Innovative headset used during shoulder arthroscopy
Recently, an orthopaedic surgeon from Brazil successfully performed shoulder arthroscopy using the Apple Vision Pro headset.
Here's What We Know
Dr Bruno Gobbato, who works at the Jaragua Hospital, shared his experience of using this technology. According to him, the headset allowed him to view high-resolution images right during the operation, as well as use real-time to review the patient's examination and 3D models.
One of the key advantages of Vision Pro, according to the doctor, is its dynamic range, which allows him to work comfortably even in bright operating room lighting.
This is not the first time that such technology has been used in medical procedures. Previously, the headset has been used for knee and hip surgery, as well as in neurosurgery. Interestingly, to make it even more convenient for surgeons, Stryker has developed the myMako app, which combines the headset's capabilities with surgical plans.
