Blizzard producer believes the Diablo series deserves a quality film adaptation
Diablo 4 producer Rod Fergusson gave an interview to Windows Central2, in which he shared his thoughts on the game's increased popularity and how you can potentially increase its audience.
Here's What We Know
Rod Fergusson noted that the addition of Diablo 4 to the Game Pass catalogue has indeed attracted a huge number of new players to the dark action-RPG, who otherwise would not have bought the game because of the high price or for other reasons. The Diablo series has traditionally been considered entertainment for PC gamers and it was important for Blizzard to popularise the game among console users, and Game Pass has contributed to this more than any other decision.
The game's producer believes that although Diablo already has an audience of tens of millions of gamers, it can be further increased by, for example, releasing a quality film adaptation. As an example of such a decision, Fergusson recalled that after the release of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime, many gamers returned to the game and sales of Cyberpunk 2077 increased significantly. It is worth noting that the recent release of the Fallout series only confirms this thesis.
Recall that on May 14 Diablo IV will launch its fourth season with a huge number of innovations.
