Insider: Helldivers 2 could come out on Xbox - Sony executives admit the possibility
For over two months, co-operative shooter Helldivers 2 has remained arguably the most requested game and has been at the centre of gamers' attention. The game is available on PC and PlayStation 5, and Xbox users, as well as Microsoft Gaming head Phil Spencer, are upset that Sony hasn't released Helldivers 2 on US consoles.
Gamers even published a petition asking to release the shooter on Xbox, but so far it has had no effect. However, this does not mean that the Sony management is not considering such a possibility.
Here's What We Know
On the air of XboxEra podcast, insider Nick Baker (Shpeshal_Nick) voiced information that the Japanese have started discussing the possibility of releasing Helldivers 2 on Xbox Series.
Shpeshal_Nick noted that these conversations are "in the early stages" and may not lead to anything. However, as a reminder, Sony's gaming division has been temporarily headed by Hiroki Totoki since 1 April, who has repeatedly stressed the importance of releasing PlayStation games on other platforms, so releasing Helldivers 2 on Xbox doesn't seem like a fantasy.
