Is a stealth action revolution coming? Ray tracing in Splinter Cell remake will have a significant impact on gameplay - insider shared
Almost nothing is known about Splinter Cell remake, but a dataminer under the nickname Visceral revealed an interesting detail, thanks to which gameplay of the updated stealth action can reach a new level.
Here's What We Know
Visceral reported that Ubisoft Toronto may use ray tracing technology in Splinter Cell Remake not only to create realistic and high-quality graphics, but also to use it in gameplay mechanics. For example, the insider believes that the characters in the game will be able to detect the player by reflections on various surfaces and by the echoes of all his actions.
If this is confirmed, Splinter Cell Remake could set a new quality standard for stealth action games and games that incorporate elements of the genre.
It's unknown when the next Splinter Cell Remake presentation will take place, but Ubisoft Toronto recently changed its Facebook avatar and based on that, the public assumed that the game will be shown at Ubisoft Forward, which will be held on June 10.
