Polestar Phone: 6.79-inch LTPO OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, 1TB of storage, IP68 protection and integration with Polestar 4 electric car
Polestar (a joint venture between Volvo and Geely) has announced its first smartphone in China.
Here's What We Know
The novelty is called Polestar Phone. The device was developed together with the brand Meizu (owned by Geely). Polestar Phone is based on the flagship Meizu 21 Pro. The gadget received the same body and features, but a special white colour with a matte finish, the Polestar logo on the back panel and integration with the Polestar 4 electric car. For example, the Polestar Phone can be used as a digital key for the car. In addition, the smartphone can be used to control some of the car's functions.
Polestar Phone comes with a 6.79-inch LTPO OLED display from BOE. The screen supports adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz and has a 2K resolution and a peak brightness of 1250 nits. The new product is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor paired with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
The Polestar Phone has stereo speakers, an under-screen scanner, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC. The gadget has a triple main camera with a 50 MP main sensor. It is complemented by a 13 MP wide-angle lens and a 10 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical and 30x digital zoom. The Polestar Phone is powered by a 5050mAh battery. It supports 80W fast wired charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging. The device has IP68 protection.
Price & When We Can Expect It
Sales of Polestar Phone will start in the near future. The novelty will be available only in China. The price of the device is not yet available.
