Ticktocker tricks fans into smashing their gear
Streamer Adin Ross, known for his provocative streamings, has encountered an unusual problem. An artificial intelligence created by a TikTok user named JohnJam11703 started impersonating Ross, tricking his fans into destroying their stuff in exchange for gifts and money.
Here's What We Know
JohnJam11703 used technology such as AI Hugging Face and video chat app Monkey to create a fairly convincing "Ross". In one case, he convinced a child to throw a PlayStation 4 out of a window in exchange for a new TV and PlayStation 5. In another case, he convinced another child to break his TV for $500.
However, these kids probably won't get the promised gifts. Opinions are divided in the comments of the video on TikTok: some think it's a wicked trick, while others think it's a good use of artificial intelligence.

Ross himself has yet to comment on the situation. However, after he was banned on Twitch in February 2023 for showing off his chat on Kick, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy has offered to discuss the possibility of lifting the ban.
