The creators of TES II: Daggerfall have recalled the development of ambitious RPG The Wayward Realms and announced a campaign on Kickstarter
OnceLost Games, the studio founded by former Bethesda employees who were behind The Elder Scrolls franchise, have recalled the development of their ambitious RPG The Wayward Realms.
Here's What We Know
The developers have revealed that they will be launching a fundraising campaign on Kickstarter in May, which, if successful, should see The Wayward Realms released in early access for the foreseeable future.
To interest gamers in sponsoring the project, the game designers emphasised that they intend to revive the spirit of classic RPGs and are taking The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall (1996) as a base. They noted that players will shape the plot of The Wayward Realms themselves and will face the far-reaching consequences of every decision they make.
The game is being built on Unreal Engine 5 with state-of-the-art technology, and the public first heard about the game in 2021.
