Netflix has revealed the first still from Zack Snyder's upcoming animated series Twilight of the Gods set in Norse mythology

Back in 2021, Netflix announced Twilight of the Gods, an animated series about Norse mythology created by director Zack Snyder, who is known for 300 Spartans, Rebel Moon, and Batman v Superman. All this time, there was very little information about the project, but now there are new details.

Here's What We Know

The first image from the animated series was presented. It depicts the red-haired heroine Sigrid.

The plot takes place in a small Viking village where the king and his queen want to get married. At the wedding, an event happens to them that forces Sigrid, the bride-to-be, who is the child of giants, to go on a crazy mission of revenge. She recruits a team of characters to join her, who form a group that has one mission: to find the god and fight him.

Zack also added that Sigrid is a great, very Scandinavian, cold but passionate character who he really enjoyed working with because she's so cool, and she's also voiced by Sylvia Hoeks.

Snyder also said back in 2023 that the series will have "a lot of sex because it's fun".

The series has no exact release date, but there will be 8 episodes in total.
