This is what the new video app from Platform X will look like on smart TVs
Company X, formerly known as Twitter, is preparing to launch its new video-streaming app for smart TVs and the other day the head of X revealed what the new video platform will look like.
Here's What We Know
The design of the new X TV app was recently unveiled to the public. It looks a lot like the YouTube app, with tabs on the left and horizontal rows of videos on the rest of the screen. The top row displays trending videos, followed by a row of "For You" videos. At the top is a search bar.
X CEO Linda Yaccarino said the new app will bring real, engaging content to smart TVs. She claims the app will deliver a high-quality, immersive entertainment experience on big screens.
The app will display themes picked up by artificial intelligence and organise videos according to those themes. With a seamless transition, users will be able to start watching videos on their phones and continue on the TV. The app will also have a broadcast option for smartphones and tablets, as well as improved video search.
The app is still under development, but you can already see the preliminary design in the video. The app will be available for most smart TV operating systems.
