Excellent sales of Street Fighter 6 and Dragon's Dogma II helped Capcom significantly increase its projected profit for the year
Capcom is one of the few companies whose majority of projects consistently show excellent sales figures.
This trend has been observed for several years now, and for the last fiscal year it not only continued, but also surpassed the forecasts of the company's analysts.
Here's What We Know
Capcom's annual report will be published in May, but the Japanese company reported an increase in its profit forecast for the past year.
Thanks to the success of Street Fighter 6, Dragon's Dogma II and stable sales of back catalogue games, net profit forecast increased by 8.3% to $278 million, and sales forecast increased by 8.9% to $979 million.
As a reminder, Dragon's Dogma 2 sales surpassed the 2.5 million copy mark less than two weeks after release, and Street Fighter 6 sales exceeded 3 million copies. In addition, games from the Monster Hunter and Resident Evil franchises are also selling well.
