Galaxy A55 gets an update in Europe that improves 4G TDD connectivity
Samsung recently released a software update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S24, Galaxy Fold 5, Galaxy Flip 5, and Galaxy A54 in Europe that improved 4G TDD network support on these devices. Now, the company has introduced a similar update for the Galaxy A55 as well.
Here's What We Know
Samsung has released a new update for the international variant of the Galaxy A55, with model number SM-A556B, in Europe. The latest software update changes the firmware version of the Galaxy A55 to A556BXXU1AXC4.
The description of the update changes says, "Updated support for regional LTE TDD band". There's currently no information on how this will benefit users, but it's likely to improve the device's support for 4G TDD network in some way. Samsung also says that Galaxy smartphones purchased in Germany will not be able to receive signals in LTE TDD bands in the following countries: Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, Czech Republic.
