Pakistan has seen an unexpectedly high demand for Samsung's new Galaxy S24 series of smartphones. Samsung is facing a shortage of these devices in the country due to the unexpectedly high demand.

Here's What We Know

Samsung started assembling phones in Pakistan in 2021 when it struck a deal with Lucky Motor Corporation. The company was incentivised by the local government, which introduced the Mobile Manufacturing Policy in 2020.

Until recently, phone buyers in Pakistan preferred more budget devices. However, this year the market has suddenly shifted towards premium phones and the Galaxy S24 series especially has gained popularity. Samsung is working on bringing the S24 back to stock.

Pakistan is the fifth largest mobile phone user country in the world with 192 million customers, but flagship phones have not been the most popular in the country. Since the launch of local Galaxy assembly, more customers in Pakistan have been buying Galaxy flagships.

Currently, Galaxy S24 series phones are hard to find in Pakistan. However, the company is working to address the shortage of flagship phones.
