A purported render of the Sony Xperia Ace IV has surfaced online. The image was published by user @mirai160525 on the X platform (formerly Twitter).
Here's What We Know
The render shows that the device has a single camera like the Xperia Ace 3 and a rectangular design. However, judging by the design, the phone will have a 21:9 aspect ratio display, which raises doubts about the authenticity of the render as the rest of the Xperia lineup is expected to abandon this aspect ratio in favour of more popular ones such as 19.5:1.
In December 2022, the Geekbench database revealed that the Xperia Ace IV with Sony's model number SM4375 will feature a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chip, which is an entry-level 5G chip. There are no further details about the device yet.
As for its predecessor, the Xperia Ace 3, it features an HD+ (720 x 1496 pixels) display with Gorilla Glass Victus protection, a 5-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash. The device is powered by Snapdragon 480 5G platform, has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable via microSD card. The phone supports fast charging and has a 4,500mAh battery. It also has a fingerprint scanner on the side panel and support for 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC and USB-C. The device is protected to IP6X, IPX5 and IPX8 standards.
