Download faster: Google Play Store introduces simultaneous download of multiple apps
After years of testing, Google is rolling out a long-awaited feature - simultaneous download and installation of multiple apps in the Play Store.
Here's What We Know
This update, which will make life much easier for Android users, allows you to install multiple apps at once, instead of waiting for each download to complete.
Here's How It Works
To test the new feature, users simply select multiple apps to download, such as Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and watch them download and install simultaneously.
The update includes a limitation - only two simultaneous downloads are displayed, and the third will wait until one of the first two is complete. Compared to its competitor, the iOS App Store can handle three simultaneous downloads, but this is still a big step forward for Google Play.
For now, the changes are rolling out to select Pixel devices on Android 14 and Play Store version 40.6.31.
