Dune: Part Two has already grossed $700 million in cinemas
Although the digital release of Dune: Part Two, and 9 weeks have passed since its premiere in cinemas, this did not prevent Denis Villeneuve's film from continuing to collect box office in cinemas and finally reaching a new profit figure.
Here's What We Know
The film has grossed $700 million worldwide. 279 million was collected in the US, and 424 million in the rest of the world.
Also, Dune: Part Two has overtaken the first part, which grossed $434 million. However, it is important to clarify that from the day of the premiere, the first part was available on the HBO Max streaming service, which affected the purchase of tickets in cinemas.
The film cost $190 million to produce and another $100 million was spent on its promotion. So the film can already be called profitable (we don't know how much it will earn in online cinemas).
