Media: Nexon is developing a big-budget MMORPG based on the "Game of Thrones" series
Surprisingly, despite the huge popularity of the Game of Thrones series and the A Song of Ice and Fire series of novels by George Martin, there have been almost no games based on this franchise, much less big-budget projects.
But that trend may soon change.
Here's What We Know
Portal Redanian Intelligence reported that an unannounced multiplayer high-budget role-playing game based on "Game of Thrones" is in development.
According to available information, the project is created by the Korean company Nexon, and the events of MMORPG will unfold in parallel with the fourth and fifth seasons of the series.
Players will find themselves in iconic places from "Game of Thrones", including the Wall, Castle Winterfell, and of the regions available to visit so far mentioned only the North.
Redanian Intelligence editors note that while characters known from the series will appear in the game, their roles will be played by other actors.
It is stated that the closest comparison game example is The Elder Scrolls Online.
It is still unknown when the Korean developers will officially present their game, but there is no doubt that with a decent performance it will certainly cause a huge interest of the public.
