Vivo is preparing to launch a new smartphone model - Vivo V40 Lite. This information became known thanks to the appearance of the device in the database of Bluetooth SIG and Global Certification Forum (GCF).

Here's What We Know

According to Bluetooth SIG, the Vivo V40 Lite smartphone will support Bluetooth 5.1. Moreover, the device has been spotted in the GCF database under the same model number. Interestingly, the Bluetooth SIG and GCF listings do not mention "5G" in the device's name. The GCF certification also does not reveal which chipset will be used in the smartphone.

The rest of the Vivo V40 Lite specifications are being kept secret for now. However, it is known that devices appearing in the Bluetooth SIG database are usually officially announced in about a month. Therefore, we can assume that the V40 Lite could be unveiled in May or early June.

The Vivo V40 Lite will replace the V30 Lite, which was unveiled in December 2023. The V30 Lite features a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and a fingerprint sensor integrated into the screen. The smartphone also gets a Snapdragon 695 chip, 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 256GB of inbuilt UFS 2.2 storage and a 4,800mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. The device runs on Android 13 with FunTouch OS 13 shell. The V30 Lite features a 50-megapixel front-facing camera, while the rear panel houses a triple camera setup: 64-megapixel (main camera, with OIS) + 8-megapixel (wide-angle) + 2-megapixel (for depth sensing).
