Samsung, once a leader in the world of foldable smartphones, is now struggling to survive in the Chinese market. According to the latest IDC data, Samsung's share of the foldable smartphone segment in China is falling, with major consequences for the company.

Here's What We Know

The company is currently experiencing significant difficulties in attracting consumers in China, where there is a clear trend towards supporting local brands. Huawei led the foldable smartphone market in China with a 44.1% share, followed by Honor (26.7%), Vivo (12.6%) and Oppo (9%).

One of the main reasons for Samsung's decline in popularity in China is the support for local manufacturers due to the phenomenon of patriotic consumption. Even if Samsung's products are technically superior to competitors, many Chinese consumers prefer to support their own companies.

According to experts, the company may need significant efforts to regain its lost ground in the Chinese foldable smartphone market.
