Amazon is ramping up its efforts in enterprise artificial intelligence by opening up greater access to its chatbot Q to more users.
Here's What We Know
The Q chatbot is an AI assistant for customers of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud service. It learns companies' data and business processes so employees can ask questions related to their operations, coding, human resources or logistics.
According to Amazon CEO Andy Jassy, expanding access to Q will help solve misalignment issues for software developers.
In addition to Q, Amazon is focusing on developing other AI tools for the enterprise market. The company operates Amazon Bedrock, a library of AI models, including its own language models as well as popular open source models like Claude and Stable Diffusion.
Tens of thousands of companies are already using Bedrock for their generative AI strategy, including GoDaddy, National Australia Bank, Sun Life and Toyota.
Amazon has also integrated additional features into Q ahead of the full launch. Q Developer helps with coding, app testing and debugging. Q Apps allows even employees without programming skills to build AI-powered apps.
While most of Amazon's artificial intelligence products are targeted at the enterprise segment, the company launched the Ruf app for the consumer market in February.
