The most modern and resilient version: the USA presented an improved version of the legendary Bradley
The US Army has announced the release of a new version of the Bradley tracked armoured fighting vehicle called the M2A4E1.
Here's What We Know
The M2A4E1 is touted as the "most advanced and survivable version": it has an integrated Iron Fist active defence system to detect and intercept missiles. Thanks to the use of radar and infrared trackers, as well as explosive shells, the enemy will have less chance of hitting the armoured vehicles.
It is also worth noting that the "new" Bradley is also equipped with an advanced high-definition front infrared sight and an environmental control unit to prevent overheating.
The Army's Ground Combat Systems Programme Executive Office said in a statement that it had received funding to purchase one M2A4E1 for each Bradley that has already been delivered to Ukraine.
