Thunderful has released a new trailer for SteamWorld Heist 2, which demonstrates the evolution of the turn-based tactical RPG from its predecessor. The video emphasises the side-scrolling perspective, shooting from cover, and precise aiming mechanics that remain an integral part of the gameplay.

Here's What We Know

Each character has a specific role to play, such as the marksmanship of a sniper, the agility of a flanker, or the resilience of a rogue fighter. Weapon assignments can be flexible, allowing characters to play different roles. By completing missions, players earn "cogs" that improve certain skills associated with each role.

This system allows you to create a variety of combinations, for example, combining the speed of a flanker with the endurance of a bully or the accuracy of a sniper with the explosive power of a boomer. More than 150 types of weapons, useful items, equipment, and character abilities provide players with ample opportunities for strategic crafting.

When We Can Expect It

SteamWorld Heist 2 will be launched on 8 August.
