In April, it became known that Germany would transfer the third battery of the MIM-104 Patriot air defence system to Ukraine. Now there is information about when the system will be delivered.

When We Can Expect It

According to the American edition of the New York Times, the delivery of SAMs should be expected no earlier than the end of June. Before that, 70 Ukrainian servicemen will undergo a 6-week training programme on the use of the system. For comparison, the German Air Force is undergoing a similar course for 6-9 months. Once the training is complete, Germany will need 2 days to send the launchers, radar and other SAM parts to Poland. From there, the MIM-104 Patriot battery will go to Ukraine.

Flashback
