Hisense introduces CanvasTV: TV and artwork for $999

Hisense is entering the art imitating TV market with a new product, CanvasTV. This matte screen TV is designed to serve as a digital art object when not in use. The concept may sound familiar - it's similar to Samsung's The Frame TV, but significantly different in price.

Here's What We Know

The 55-inch and 65-inch CanvasTV models are priced at $999 and $1,299, respectively. Despite the lower price, the CanvasTV boasts a 4K QLED display with anti-glare technology like its more expensive competitor. It also offers a 144Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals, an auto-dimming sensor, and 2.0.2 multi-channel surround sound.

CanvasTV is pre-loaded with various artworks in abstract, modern and Renaissance styles. Users can easily switch between them and their photos using the "Art Mode" button on the remote control. The TV even features a motion sensor that turns off the display when the room is empty for additional energy savings.

CanvasTV comes complete with a wall mount and teak frame. For variety, interchangeable white and walnut frames are available for separate purchase. CanvasTV will hit shop shelves this summer.
