The inhabitants of Super-Earth have won: Sony won't require PSN tethering to play Helldiver 2 on PC
We wrote that gamers have dropped the rating of Helldivers 2 due to the need to link the account to the PlayStation Network. It was expected that Sony's decision caused an extremely strong reaction and dissatisfaction of the public. However, the players still won the battle.
Here's What We Know
The company said that it had cancelled the update that required linking a PSN account to Steam.
We're still learning what's best for PC players, and your feedback has been invaluable. Thank you again for your continued support of Helldivers 2 and we'll keep you posted on future plans.
But there is one caveat. Sony has not yet commented on the fact that Helldivers 2 has been withdrawn from sale in 177 countries. We will find out soon whether the shooter and these cranes will return or not.
Where To Play
Helldivers 2 is available on PC and PlayStation 5.
