Apple Music gets Dolby Atmos support on LG TVs

Apple has updated the Apple Music app for LG TVs to include Dolby Atmos audio. This is a first-of-its-kind feature for TVs that allows you to enjoy spatial sound directly through Apple Music.

Here's What We Know

While details on compatible models have not yet been disclosed, it is known that LG GX OLED TVs that were released in 2020 have already received this update. This could mean that most of LG's current TV models will also receive Dolby Atmos support in the future.

While LG users are enjoying this new feature, Samsung TV owners are being left out.

There is currently no announcement that the company plans to add Dolby Atmos support for Apple Music on its devices.
