Spain transfers missiles for Patriot air defence systems to Ukraine
Spain has sent Ukraine a batch of interceptor missiles for Patriot systems.

The information was shared by the Spanish Defence Minister, reports El Mundo. The missiles were handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine together with partners. For security reasons, the number of missiles is not disclosed.
Flashback
Patriot is an anti-aircraft missile system developed by the US company Raytheon. It consists of an air interception missile and a high-performance radar system. The probability of hitting an aircraft is 0.8-0.9, while the probability of hitting a tactical missile is 0.6-0.8. The cost of one missile is about $3 million.
By the way, Ukraine now has 3 batteries of Patriot SAMs in service. In the near future, the AFU will receive a fourth system.
