According to fans, this creature may turn out to be Solaris, the Tyrannical Sun, a villain who first appeared in DC Comics One Million #1 in 1998. It also appeared in the 2005 All-Star Superman comic book series and its 2011 animated adaptation by Warner Bros. Animation. But that's just speculation. We are sure it was the vivid discussions that Gunn was seeking.

As a reminder, Solaris is an intelligent artificial sun created as a result of a temporal paradox in which Solaris from the 853rd century used a future version of the Sentinel Man to travel back in time and infect the 20th century with the virus that guaranteed his creation.
