Apple unveiled the iPad Air 6: iPad Pro-like size, new camera layout, M2 processor and price starting at $599
Last year was the first time Apple broke its long-standing tradition of not releasing a single new tablet model. But finally the "lull" is over, and today at the presentation "Let Loose" debuted updated iPad Air and iPad Pro. In this article we will talk about the first novelty - iPad Air.
Here's What's New About It
The iPad Air is available in two sizes for the first time: in addition to the traditional 11-inch, a new version with a 13-inch screen, like the iPad Pro, is available. In addition to the size, the 13-inch model has stronger bass. Both versions feature Liquid Retina displays.
The front camera has finally moved from the top frame to the side frame like the iPad 10. This is done to make the tablet easier to use in landscape orientation during video calls. The 12 MP camera also features Centre Stage, which uses machine learning to automatically keep everyone in view.
There's an M2 processor inside. Apple claims that the new iPad Air is almost 50 per cent faster than the previous iPad Air with M1. Compared to the iPad Air with A14 Bionic, it delivers 3 times faster performance. In addition to this, the inbuilt storage has increased from 128GB in the base configuration to a maximum of 1TB.
Other new features include a 100% recycled aluminium body and faster Wi-Fi 6E.
The iPad Air 6 is available in blue, purple, Starlight and Space Grey colours. The 11-inch model is priced from $599, while the 13-inch model starts at $799. You can pre-order from today, and shipments will start next week.
