Insider: Sony could hold a massive PlayStation Showcase as early as next week
Repeatedly, journalists and insiders have reported that Sony will hold a massive PlayStation Showcase event in May, where new games for PS5 and possibly PC will be unveiled to the public.
However, according to the latest information from Jeff Grubb, it could happen as early as next week.
Here's What We Know
During a recent episode of the Giant Bomb podcast, respected journalist and insider Jeff Grubb expressed his belief that PlayStation Showcase 2024 will take place in May. He emphasised that it could happen either next week or the week after.
Honestly, I don't know if it will be next week or the week after. It could be the end of the month, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does happen next week. It could happen at any moment.
Sony has some big releases planned for 2024, so it's a good time to start a marketing campaign and it's hard to think of a better platform for that than the PlayStation Showcase. Perhaps at this show gamers will see announcements of new projects from such notable studios as Insomniac Games, Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica or Sucker Punch Productions.
Obviously, one of the main items on the programme will be the Silent Hill 2 remake, as gamers have long been interested in the release date of the updated horror game.
