Bobby Kotick is no longer CEO of Activision Blizzard, but litigation continues over violations committed during his leadership.

Late last year, a court ordered Activision Blizzard to pay $54 million to employees who suffered as a result of gender discrimination and a toxic work environment.

But the US company will have to pay another fine.

Here's What We Know

A patent infringement lawsuit began in 2015 against Acceleration Bay, which claimed Activision Blizzard used its technology in World of Warcraft and two instalments of Call of Duty.

The District Court of Delaware heard all the arguments of Acceleration Bay, considered them well-founded and made a decision: Activision Blizzard must pay $23.4 million for patent infringement, of which $18 million was awarded for WoW, and $5.4 million - for two parts of Call of Duty.

Representatives of Activision Blizzard did not admit guilt, do not agree with the jury verdict and they intend to appeal in the near future.
