In April, Sea of Thieves became the most downloaded game on PlayStation 5 in Europe, having previously been a Microsoft exclusive

Sony has shared statistics on the games that players downloaded the most in April on PlayStation 5 in the US, Canada, and Europe.

Here's What We Know

On PlayStation 5, the leader in Europe was the pirate co-operative action game Sea of Thives, which was previously available only on Xbox and PC, as the game is owned by Microsoft. In the US and Canada, the first place went to the co-operative shooter Helldivers 2.

Interestingly, another Microsoft game, Grounded, is in the top ten in both the US and Europe. After that, several more games could be ported to PlayStation.

Players also actively downloaded Stellar Blade, GTA V, and Call of Duty. Sports simulators, such as MLB The Show 24, NBA 2K24, WWE 2K24, and of course EA SPORTS FC 24, were also popular.
