Finland signs important deal with Insta to support F-35 fighter jets

Finland has announced the acquisition of avionics for its F-35 fighter jet fleet from Insta, along with maintenance services. The agreement, which covers the period from 2024 to 2026, is part of a strategic partnership between the Finnish Defence Forces and Insta.

Here's What We Know

The package of agreements includes maintenance services for Lockheed Martin's F-35 Lightning II avionics, as well as support and integration of the fighter's systems with Finnish command and control systems.

Finland is expected to receive 64 F-35s, which will enter service in 2026. This agreement underscores the country's commitment to ensuring the security of its military systems in the future and its ability to manage advanced technologies.

Insta is also actively engaged in developing products and services to improve the efficiency and safety of fighter jets, as well as other defence systems. Their collaboration with NATO's NCI Agency and Lockheed Martin underlines their role as a key player in defence technology and services.
