Xiaomi's first "clamshell": Mix Flip has passed certification before the official announcement

Xiaomi already has several models of foldable smartphones, but all of them are made in a "book" format. However, the company is already actively preparing for the announcement of its first "clamshell" in the style of Samsung Galaxy Flip.

The other day Xiaomi Mix Flip has passed certification and was spotted on the website of the agency 3C. The exact name of the smartphone is not there, but the model number is listed - 2405CPX3DC. Reliable industry sources have linked it to the Xiaomi Mix Flip.

The certification only confirms that the foldable smartphone will get 67W fast charging support. Other details, unfortunately, are not yet available.

However, the appearance of the novelty on the certification site confirms that Xiaomi is actively working on its first foldable phone, and its official release is just around the corner.

According to analyst Digital Chat Sation, Xiaomi could launch the Mix Flip along with the upcoming Mix Fold 4 in the third quarter of 2024.

The smartphone is rumoured to get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, a 50 MP camera and water resistance, which no other foldable smartphone from Xiaomi has yet.
