FX's surprise decision: hit historical series Shogun will get a second season
Just recently, the last episode of the highly acclaimed series "Shōgun" (Shōgun) was released.
FX has stated that Shōgun is a mini-series and there are no plans for a second season.
In addition, the authors adapted the entire plot of the novel of the same name by James Clavell and it seemed that the point in the story is set. But, as it became known to the Deadline portal - it is not a point, but many dots.
Here's What We Know
Journalists Deadline reported that the management of FX agreed to the production of the second season of Shogun and not least of all it was facilitated by the consent of Hiroyuki Sanada, who not only played one of the central roles of Lord Yoshii Toranaga, but also acted as a producer of the series.
Given that the production process of the first season of "Shogun" took six years, it is unlikely to expect that the sequel will be released in the next few years.
Recall, Shogun became the most expensive series of the channel FX and received high marks from critics and viewers.
