Here's What We Know

The manufacturer reported about this on the official page on Twitter. The contract is for $451 million. For this amount, the US will be able to receive an increased number of modernised M270A2 MLRSs.

The M270A2 boasts an upgraded cabin, a new fire control system and the ability to launch PrSM missiles with a range of up to 500 kilometres.

By the way, thanks to the modernisation, the US Army will be able to extend the service life of the M270 until 2050.
