The new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 promises impressive GPU performance
Leading mobile chip maker Qualcomm is preparing to release its new flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. According to a reputed Digital Chat Station insider, the new chip promises impressive GPU performance.
Here's What We Know
The game Genshin Impact was cited as an example, which requires significant resources even from today's high-performance chipsets. The report claims that the new Adreno GPU will allow the game to run smoothly at native 1080p resolution.
In addition, the development of the new SoC is ahead of schedule, so Qualcomm plans to release it right after China's National Day, which is on 1 October. This is in line with previous rumours that the Xiaomi 15 will launch in mid-October based on Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, followed by the iQOO and OnePlus flagships.
What is known about the processor itself is that it will run on Qualcomm's custom Oryon cores at a maximum frequency of 4.26GHz, will get LPDDR6 memory support and may not get power efficient cores.
