Important changes are coming to the world of mobile gaming. One of the most popular games of all time, PUBG: Battlegrounds, which was released on Android and iOS six years ago, will soon receive an update that will allow players to enjoy combat at a smooth 120 frames per second. Until now, the game has been limited to a frame rate of 90 fps.

Here's What We Know

The game's update to version 3.2, scheduled for 13 May, will bring 120 fps support mode and Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23 and Galaxy Fold 5 series will be among the devices supporting the mode. Samsung also says it has partnered with Tencent, the game's developer, to optimise performance on these devices. The optimisations will be included in the latest version of the Game Optimisation Service (GOS) and Game Booster app installed on Galaxy smartphones and tablets.

It is also reported that the new version of Genshin Impact 5.0, which will be released in 3 months, will also bring improvements in the form of a 37% resolution increase for Samsung's flagship devices.

On top of that, there are plans to improve the Vulkan API graphics, which is already being tested on the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
